Short Story Workshop — “The Vivid and Continuous Dream” (session I)

  • Pulp Books 3952 Rue Wellington Montréal, QC, H4G 1V3 Canada (map)

This in-person creative writing workshop is designed for fiction writers who want to deepen their craft and critical reading skills. Led by an acclaimed and experienced instructor, this 8-week course focuses on the art of the short story, helping writers refine their narrative structure, develop compelling characters, and master point of view and dialogue.

Through a supportive, feedback-driven environment, participants will “lift the hood” on fiction—examining how scenes, summary, structure, and dramatic conflict shape the reading experience. Writers will produce two short stories (2000–3500 words each), read their peers’ work closely, and participate in guided discussions and feedback sessions.
